Learn and Grow Children's Activities

Betty Ford Alpine Gardens offers childrens activities Monday -Thursdays from 10-12pm., mid June through mid August.  The programs are led by the Garden and Education Interns and are intended for children ages 5 to 10 years, though there are exceptions. All of the classes are drop in and meet in our Children's Garden amphitheater and are largely conducted in this garden.  This summer the Gardens will provide a supervised Discovery Cart, Nature Treasure Hunt and lessons on topics ranging from pollination to watersheds.

We invite you to explore our garden with self guided interactive 'Backyard Backpacks' or Play in the Soil at our Children's Gardening Area.  The Back to Nature trail is a great place where children can connect with nature in an unstructured environment.
