Welcome From Betty Ford

Vail's lovely botanic garden is named for Betty Ford in appreciation of her many contributions to the Vail Valley.

"When we first talked of plans for the alpine garden, I never dreamed it would grow and flourish to such a degree. But as each season brings new blooms and greater beauty to the different gardens, they become a source of infinite pride and pleasure for all of us."

Mrs. Ford shared the view of garden members that "our flowers in the summer are as glorious as our snow in the winter."
