2008 Internship Opportunity

Located at an altitude of 8,200 feet, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens specializes in alpine plants and native mountain perennials. There are three acres of cultivated gardens surrounded by parkland near Vail Village and at the base of Vail Mountain in Colorado's Gore Range.

Betty Ford Alpine Gardens summer internships are full-time for a minimum of twelve weeks beginning approximately May 24th. Two positions are available in the following category:

GARDEN AND EDUCATION INTERN - The Garden/Education Intern will work with the Garden Supervisor and Director of Horticulture to implement education programs for both children and volunteers. The intern will also create and implement a small garden project with other interns that will be continuously used in the gardens future. This intern will also attend scheduled educational field trips and work with the Garden Supervisor on all basic gardening maintenance.
