Docent Tours

"More than just a pretty garden . . ."

Stroll the gardens with a volunteer docent to learn about our wonderful mountain plants and the mountain life zones in which they live. Our tours offer guests the opportunity to not only view the plants in bloom with a knowledgeable guide, but also to gain information about the history of the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and of the Vail Valley, mountain ecology, mountain gardening and unique & special plants.

Public tours are offerered at 10:30 am Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Tours range from 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

*Private tours may also be scheduled*
